Origin & Cause Investigations
Our Leadership Team consists of investigators who are court tested and qualified as Origin and Cause experts. When TrueNorth receives an O&C assignment, the assigned investigator will contact all appropriate parties within 24 hours of the intake. TrueNorth experts are trained and qualified to conduct residential, commercial, vehicle, marine, wildland, and machinery equipment fire investigations.
The TrueNorth team holds many certifications, through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and the National Associations of Fire Investigators (NAFI). TrueNorth fire investigations follow the guidelines and standards of NFPA 921 & NFPA 1033, as well as ASTM Standards, as they apply. Each investigator employs the Scientific Method and scientific practices to provide quality forensic investigation analysis. The leadership team at TrueNorth will follow the assignment wherever the scientific evidence leads. TrueNorth can provide any and all testing that is required or requested for an assignment.
Knowing when and how to collect evidence is a crucial point in any forensic investigation. The TrueNorth team and storage facility follow the ASTM E1459 and ASTM E1492 to stay in compliance and to ensure the evidence is properly documented, collected, handled and stored.
When submitting your next fire assignment, with TrueNorth Solutions, you can be assured you will have accurate reporting with a minimal turnaround time. Our reports will reflect the evidence and knowledge gathered from the scene that has been analyzed using the scientific methodology and practices. The reports are peer reviewed by our senior management that has combined 30+ years of experience and 3,000+ origin and cause investigations conducted.
